You probably wonder where the title "alive in the bitter sea" comes from. Its a reference to the sea of bitter people across the central United States (refer to Barack Obama's famous"bitter clingers comment"). Also refers to a description of life under communist rule in China.
Maybe the bitter people aren't bitter after all. We float in the ocean of troubles but we are alive... Can we survive the rescue attempts?
